Career data is sensitive. We built like it.
Your work log can mention employers, projects, and salaries. Your journal can hold things you've told no one. Treating this like ad-tech data would be disqualifying. So we don't.
Never trained on
Your entries, journals and documents are never used to train or fine-tune AI models — not by us, and contractually not by the AI provider we use.
Never sold
We do not sell, rent or trade your data, and there is no "anonymised insights" side business either. You pay for the product so that the product never has to make money from you.
No ads, no trackers
There is no advertising on Roleora and no third-party analytics SDK shipping your behaviour elsewhere. The only cookies we set are the ones that keep you signed in.
A journal we cannot read
Turn on journal encryption and your entries are encrypted on your device with a passphrase only you know. We store ciphertext. We cannot read it, recover it, or hand it over — not to you without your passphrase, and not to anyone else.
Private stays out of everything
Entries you mark private are excluded from every generated document and every page you share. Not by policy alone — the exclusion is enforced in the queries that build them.
No recruiter side
There are no public profiles by default and no way for anyone to browse users. Your record is visible to an employer only when you create a share link for a specific application, and revoking it kills the link immediately.
Export in one click
Everything you own, as JSON, free, whenever you want it, from Settings. Your record is not a hostage.
Delete means delete
Deleting your account erases your data from our live systems immediately and irreversibly on confirmation; backup copies expire within their thirty-day retention window. Export first if you want a copy — there is no undo.
Grievances go to a person
Complaints reach a named Grievance Officer at a real address, with published timelines we are legally held to, not a support maze.
