Terms of Service

Effective on public launch · Last updated: 14 July 2026

Welcome to Roleora. These terms are a real agreement between you and KNETT IT INFRASTRUCTURE AND SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED (“Knett”, “we”, “us”), a private limited company incorporated in India (CIN: U72900DL2007PTC199384) that makes Roleora. By creating an account or using roleora.com or app.roleora.com (together, “Roleora” or the “Service”), you agree to them. We’ve written them to be readable. Please actually read them.

1. What Roleora is

Roleora is a career management platform: you log your daily work, build a profile, and generate documents (resumes, cover letters, gap analyses, self-reviews) from your own record. It is a tool for you — not a job board, not a recruiting service, and not a guarantee of any career outcome.

2. Who can use Roleora

  • You must be 18 years or older to create an account. You confirm your date of birth at signup, and you confirm it truthfully.
  • Why 18+: India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 requires verifiable parental consent for users under 18 and prohibits behavioural tracking of them — and Roleora’s core features (streaks, activity heatmaps, AI memory of your work patterns) are exactly that kind of tracking. Rather than offer under-18 users a hollowed-out product, we’re building a proper under-18 experience separately. Until it ships, signup is 18+ only. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it and its data.
  • You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep your account details current.
  • One account per person. You are responsible for what happens under your login; keep your credentials to yourself.

3. Acceptable use

Use Roleora for your own career record. Don’t:

  • scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Service;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide Roleora to others as a service;
  • probe, overload, or attempt to breach our systems, or bypass usage limits and metering;
  • upload content that is unlawful, infringing, or that you don’t have the right to share (including confidential employer material in breach of your obligations — log responsibly);
  • impersonate anyone, or feed the Service deliberately false records with intent to deceive third parties;
  • use automated means to create accounts or generate documents.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules (see Section 10).

4. Credits, subscriptions, and payment

Credits.One credit buys one generated document (for example a resume, a cover letter, a gap analysis, or a self-review). Your plan’s monthly credit allowance, entry limits, and current prices are shown on the Pricing page, which forms part of these terms.

Free and Pro. Roleora has a free plan with a monthly credit allowance and a Pro subscription — ₹149 per month or ₹1,299 per year at the time of writing (the Pricing page is authoritative if prices change).

Credit packs. You can buy one-time credit packs — currently 5 credits for ₹99, 20 for ₹299, 50 for ₹649. Purchased credits expire 183 days after purchase. Monthly plan credits reset each month and do not carry over, except rollover credits earned through streaks as described in the app.

Billing. Pro is currently sold as a one-time purchase for a fixed period (monthly or yearly). It does not auto-renew — access ends when the paid period does, and there is nothing to cancel. If we introduce auto-renewing subscriptions, we will say so clearly at purchase and provide a self-serve way to cancel before any recurring charge is made. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.

Failed generations. If a document generation fails on our side, the credit is automatically refundedto your balance. You should never pay for a document you didn’t get.

Payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, or banking credentials.

Taxes. Prices on the Pricing page are the final amounts you pay. Knett is not currently registered for GST (turnover below the registration threshold), so no GST is added. If that changes, the Pricing page will state the treatment before it applies to you.

5. Community and user-generated content

When the Community feature is live:

  • You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content within Roleora, for as long as it stays posted. Delete a post and the license ends (except for cached copies we purge on schedule and content already lawfully quoted by others).
  • Don’t post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, spam, or that exposes someone else’s personal data.
  • You can report content. We can remove content and restrict accounts that break these rules, at our reasonable discretion. We are a moderated space, not a free-for-all.
  • Nothing you post in Community is ever used as AI context or training data. Your career record and your public posts never mix.

6. Your content and our platform

Yours: everything you put in — work entries, journal entries, uploaded documents, profile data — and every document Roleora generates for you from your data. You own your record.

Ours:the Roleora platform itself — the software, design, prompts, models’ orchestration, brand, and everything that makes the Service run. Don’t copy or reverse-engineer it.

You give us only the limited license needed to operate the Service for you: storing your data, processing it to generate your documents, and displaying it back to you. We claim nothing more. We do not use your content to train AI models, we do not sell it, and we do not show you ads. Ever.

7. AI-generated output

Roleora’s documents are generated by AI from your own logged entries, with an enforcement layer that rejects claims not supported by your record. Even so:

  • Generated documents are drafts. Review them before you use them.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you submit to an employer, institution, or anyone else. The record is only as truthful as what you logged.
  • AI output can contain errors, awkward phrasing, or omissions. It is assistance, not advice — not legal, financial, or professional career advice, and no guarantee of interviews, offers, promotions, or admissions.

8. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, add, or retire features. If a change materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we will notify you before your next renewal so you can decide whether to continue.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law:

  • Roleora is provided “as is” and “as available”.
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses — including lost opportunities, lost profits, or outcomes of job applications, interviews, or appraisals.
  • Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the greater of ₹1,000 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Your statutory rights as a consumer remain intact.

10. Termination

  • You can delete your account anytime from Settings. Deletion is real and immediate: your data is erased from live systems irreversibly the moment you confirm; backup copies expire within their 30-day retention window. There is no recovery after confirmation. Export first if you want a copy — export is one click and free.
  • We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or create legal risk — with notice and a reason, except where the violation makes that impracticable.
  • Dormant accounts:if you don’t log in for 24 months, we will email you four times over a notice period, including a one-click export offer. If you still don’t return, the account and its data are deleted. This is a privacy feature, not a penalty — we don’t warehouse abandoned personal data. (Details in the Privacy Policy.)
  • Unused purchased credits at account deletion are forfeited, except as set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy or required by law.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we’ll tell you by email and in-app at least 15 days before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Roleora after that means you accept the new terms; if you don’t, you can export your data and delete your account.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (including approaching the consumer forum where you reside), courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these terms.

13. Contact

Questions about these terms: support@roleora.com. Grievances: see the Grievance Redressal section of the Privacy Policy and the Contact page.
